General
Troubleshooting of the Automation 8000 NT Software
As
an aid to general troubleshooting and resolving alarm conditions
of the Automation 8000 NT Software, a separate group of
screens is available for inputs and outputs. Automation
8000 NT displays these “I/O
Status” screen.
This screen shows the current state of all I/O. It is arranged
into bases and points. These correspond to the number of
bases and points used (boards, digital and analog modules,
etc.).
Tagnames, such as "I-LOLEV07" in the Base 6 section
of the automation software, represent a module on the I/O
rack. Tagnames and physical modules can be easily matched
by comparing wire numbers within Automation 8000 NT. If "I-LOLEV07" is
on base 6, and is point 4, it corresponds to the module attached
to wire number 64. Likewise, base 14, point 7, corresponds
to wire number 147.
A
description of the point may be obtained by clicking
on the tagname in Automation 8000 NT.
The description appears in the Status Bar of the software.
In the example of “I-LOLEV07”, the description
may be displayed as “Low Level Station 7”.
Next to each tagname is a box. If the point is on a digital
module, the value is represented as either the color red
("ON") or black ("OFF"). If the module
is analog, a numeric value is displayed. |
