Automation 8000 NT Software Alarm Status Screen

Automation 8000 NT Software displays an alarm whenever a problem occurs with the equipment or process (assuming of course, that the particular component has some type of electrical interface with the computer). Automation 8000 NT has an "Alarm Status" screen that displays a list of alarms which have occurred. New and old alarms are differentiated by color coding.

The first section of the alarm, for example "A-HEAT04" in the first example to the right, references the
I/O module which has reported the problem. The second section provides a brief description of the alarm.

When an alarm is initiated, the "Alarm Status Screen" immediately pops up on the software operator’s screen, on top of any other screen which is currently on display of the Automation 8000 NT. The operator cannot leave the "Alarm Status Screen" until the specific alarm has been acknowledged. Once acknowledged, the color of the alarm description changes from red to green. The alarm description is not removed from the screen until the problem itself has been corrected.
